About Gracious Home

Gracious Home was established in 1963 when Nathan and David Wekselbaum opened the doors of a 2,000-square-foot hardware store on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The two brothers were the only employees, and every time a customer would visit the store and ask for an item he or she didn’t have, the Wekselbaums would write down the request and place an order. The shop eventually grew to more than 40,000 square feet, selling everything from lightbulbs to luxury bedding.

Today, Gracious Home remains independently owned and focused on the areas we know best: the finest luxury bed and bath linens, designer lighting, table linens, fragrances, and decorative accessories — along with a unique assortment of furniture and paper goods. With a penchant for tasteful curation, Gracious Home showcases a vast selection of exquisite offerings from around the world. Our unrivaled service endears our brand to discerning customers in New York and beyond.
